Getting to Vik

If you travel over the mountains from Voss to Vik on a fine day in May, it’s like travelling through all four seasons. From the full winter of the snowy mountains, you switchback down along the winding road through spring, stopping at the view which makes visitors use words like marvellous and awesome. Waaaaaay down there by the fjord you can see that Vik has its summer best on. 

Was that only three? Yes, autumn is something different. Take the same journey on a sunny or a stormy day in August or September and you will have a quite different experience.
