The Blix loungeThe architect Peter Andreas Blix (1831-1901) was an important figure in the preservation and restoration of the jewels of the local community – the old churches from the 12th century.
Blix always stayed at the hotel when he was in Vik. He had the use of a room on the first floor where he had his own furniture and office. It was in this room that Blix spent his last years and which later came to bear his name: The Blix Room.
In 1981 a monument to Blix was erected close to the hotel.
